Random Acts is an award-winning solo play about a girl coming of age on Chicago's South Side and in Minneapolis during the racial and social upheaval of the 1960s and '70s. With humor and vivid storytelling, Renata follows her from childhood to adulthood. Along the way, the play explores kindness, acceptance, bullying, friendship and peer pressure, and the breaking down of stereotypes.
