SEA DOG THEATER
209 EAST 16TH STREET
NEW YORK, NY 10003

On a bare stage, a man known simply as “Man” speaks to us — about home, language, holidays, and the strange wonder of being alive. Both foreign and familiar, his words wander through humor and heartbreak, drawing us into the quiet absurdity of everyday existence.

Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Horton Foote Prize winner Will Eno, whom The New York Times calls “a Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation,” Title and Deed invites audiences into a space of reflection, laughter, and shared humanity — an evening as simple as it is profound.

Bill Irwin (Man), an original member of Kraken and San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus, has created several original stage works including On Beckett, Old Hats, Fool Moon, Largely New York, The Harlequin Studies, Mr. Fox: A Rumination, The Happiness Lecture, and The Regard of Flight. On Broadway, his performance as George in the 2005 revival of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf earned Irwin Tony and Helen Hayes awards for best actor.
